AOC Show 93 - Green Houses - Creating Toxin and Chemical Free Homes

Greg Jameson, author
Green Air Retreat and website link

Wayne Connell, Project Lead for Green Air Retreat, joins us on this episode of the Art of Construction.

Wayne’s passion for creating toxin and chemical free living environments stems from his desire to help his wife, who suffers from Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and Multiple Chemical Sensitivity (MCS). Even though many people do not have the debilitating symptoms from toxin and chemical exposure that those with MCS do, all of us would benefit from cleaner building materials, appliances, and practices.

Wayne is building a Green Air Retreat idea house to showcase products and materials that are breathable, accessible and sustainable that can help create a healthier place to live. Wayne, also the founder and president of the Invisible Disabilities® Association, established IDA in 1996 out of the desire to educate friends and family about his wife's debilitating illness. Soon afterward, people around the globe began sending emails sharing how IDA had changed their relationships with their loved ones. He co-authored the book, But You LOOK Good, How to Encourage and Understand People Living with Illness and Pain with over 30,000 copies in print. Wayne's background fueled his passion for helping people living with illness, pain, and disability. His experience includes that of a professional, multi-tasking husband caregiver with an extensive background in management, media, and technology. This man on a mission quickly launched the Invisible Disabilities Association into a worldwide outreach for millions living with invisible disabilities.
