Click and Mortar: The Virtual Experience Economy
It's Time to Adapt
The old world of business has traditionally been defined by “brick and mortar”establishments that sell their products to customers face-to-face in an office or store. But the times are changing, and new challenges arise that call for new and creative solutions. As Benjamin Franklin once said,"When you're finished changing, you're finished."
In recent years we’ve been building up our digital offering, the Virtual Experience, to create a virtual shopping method that is as close to the real thing as you can ever get.In some ways, with the time saved from less travel and tools that allow you to embed media and easily measure objects and rooms, it’s even better than being in person. This brings us to a new kind of buying experience that’s only possible with the Internet and all the latest and greatest technology: Click and Mortar!
3D Spaces You Can Explore and Interact With
Any business that needs an interactive, 3D visual representation of real-world spaces will find our Virtual Experience as the perfect tool to engage with your audience, customers, and even team members. Over the years we've been working with Mountain View Window & Door to create Virtual Experiences of their two amazing showrooms (which they now dub their 3D Experience Centers) as well as many of their projects. These 3D experiences have given their customers the ability to shop through their products and plan out projects from the comfort of their home. It has also helped their AEC industry partners improve their workflow by giving them a web-based visual record of their project that they can use to communicate with stakeholders, subcontractors and future clients they are prospecting.
"This is the most fantastic tool I have ever seen for 3D representation of a project," the builder on this project said. Mountain View Window & Door provided him with a scan during construction as well as following completion of the project. "I was able to use it find details like pipes, cables and ductwork to make necessary corrections. This is saving time and costs for both the subcontractors and myself. This should be a part of every project before insulation and after completion!" See the scans from this testimonial and more of the Virtual Experiences we've done for MVWD and their clients here.
Only the Strong Survive
With the sudden hit of the coronavirus on our economy, foot traffic in stores has been reduced to virtually nothing. Overnight, a majority of consumers and the workforce began to work from home as we all do our part to reduce the spread of this virus. This has caused many businesses to act quickly and figure out what online shopping options they can offer their customers as soon as possible.
While this pandemic and the resulting economic fallout are certainly a terrible thing for our country to face, we are excited that we can offer our Virtual Experience as a way to get businesses digitally up and running during these difficult times. Check out the one above that we did for Rare Finds Warehouse to see this in action. Virtual Experiences are easy to navigate and highly engaging, and at a time like this they are the perfect way to keep sales coming in and the conversation with your audience alive and well.
Join the Virtual Experience Economy
While there are some things that will always need to be done in person, we know that Click and Mortar businesses are the way of the future. The Virtual Experience Economy is here to stay, and it's only getting bigger. In times like this, we are seeing the extent to which businesses can operate remotely and finding out that collaborating virtually with amazing tools like this can actually be better for all in the long run. It saves us time in removing unnecessary meetings and travel, it allows us to quickly store and navigate to whatever information we might need in an easy, visual format, and in today’s case, it allows small businesses to keep moving forward full steam ahead and their employees working as we face this global crisis we now find ourselves in.
We believe this will not only help your business survive, but THRIVE on the other side of this economy. Contact us to find out more about how we can help you use the Virtual Experience to improve sales, online engagement and your company's workflow in the digital age today!
